I am a freelance journalist living in North Leeds with my husband and our two little boys, Max aged four and baby Ben. I love reading and my long-term dream is to write a novel (and of course wear lots of scarves and cycle everywhere). My favourite author is Kate Atkinson. Maybe it’s because I’m outnumbered by males in this household, I veer towards female writers, although a highlight of book club for me so far has been the Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larrson. When I finished The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo two Christmasses ago, my husband trekked out in the snow to get me a copy of the Girl Who Played with Fire. How quaint that now seems this year, when I have my Christmas present Kindle to hand in case of such emergencies!
