Also...It's good! Typos give an authentic feel!
Also, I was listening to a programme yesterday about boys and girls' development and an academic had gone into a nursery determined to get rid of guns, as a pacifist, and ended up saying it was vitally important to their self esteem and the way they made friends, and that when you observed the play the guns had the same powers that the wands the girls were playing with had.
Not sure how relevant that is but as a mother of a boy I do feel they have certain needs which includes some male company and a kind of play I just don't quite relate to. It's just like my neighbours' little girl who spent time with me rearranging my shoe drawer while her mum had to work through the Easter hols because it was just her brother and dad at home. I knew instinctively she was craving female company. And I can sooo relate to that!Claire Bottomley Book Club Mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00094955308786652840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6059964551024999840.post-72830557775208339672012-01-26T12:39:46.866-08:002012-01-26T12:39:46.866-08:00and I wrote it whilst viewing 'jake and the ne...and I wrote it whilst viewing 'jake and the neverland pirates'Annanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6059964551024999840.post-72684131795869310102012-01-26T12:37:19.625-08:002012-01-26T12:37:19.625-08:00Sorry about shocking spelling, grammer and general...Sorry about shocking spelling, grammer and general incoherence! Although a very mean part of me wants to see how the daddies like it when they are cast aside for the role models!
Thank you for commenting xClaire Bottomley Book Club Mumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00094955308786652840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6059964551024999840.post-84900988201440596082012-01-26T10:23:52.444-08:002012-01-26T10:23:52.444-08:00My husband had only read two books in this life on...My husband had only read two books in this life one was 'the intimate adventures of a London call girl by belle de jour' which he read on a beach somewhere and the other was 'raising boys by Steve bidulph' both books he found to be v informative and he now claims to be an expert in....... bringing up his son. This expertise many involves detailing at dinner parties how for the first few years it's the mother/son relationship that is the most important then it's the father/son and finally a male role model that is important. I don't like this theory cos anyway you look it us mums are redundant after they are two! Anna InghamAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
